Softball Recap: Highway 6 Has No Trouble Against Alliance

Highway 6 came out on top against Alliance on Friday thanks in part to the team's impressive 16-run third inning. The Trailblazers were the clear victors by an 18-8 margin over the Bulldogs. The Trailblazers haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Lillian Labenz made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Labenz was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base.

In other batting news, Alexa Hale was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in September of 2024. Another player making a difference was McKinley Jauken, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

Highway 6 was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .545. Their batting average was a full 0 higher than the also-impressive .400 that Alliance posted.

Highway 6's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Alliance, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Highway 6 has already played their next contest, a 15-1 loss against Kearney Catholic on the 25th. As for Alliance, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, an 11-3 defeat against Adams Central on the 23rd.
