Ballard proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by ten) and on Wednesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Boone Toreadors 6-4. The victory continues a trend for the Bombers in their matchups with the Toreadors: they've now won three in a row.

Ballard now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Boone, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 3-2.

Coming up, Ballard will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Grinnell at 5:00 p.m. The Tigers' pitching crew has only allowed three runs per game this season, so the Bombers' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
