Two new teams debut in the Xcellent 25 National Football Rankings presented by the Army National Guard, and both hail from traditionally fertile football soil.

Steele and North Allegheny make the list at Nos. 24 and No. 25, respectively. Both are undefeated and have some impressive in-state victories.

With victories against Madison, Westlake and Judson, Steele now will likely be on cruise control until the Texas playoffs. In back-to-back weeks, North Allegheny has defeated Gateway and Central Catholic, and will be favored to play in Hershey Park for the Pennsylvania Class AAAA state title.

University rises from No. 18 to No. 12. It owns a lopsided victory over Cocoa (Fla.), which notched a very impressive road victory over Bergen Catholic this weekend.
