Baseball Recap: Mendon Unity Mustangs vs. Camp Point Central Panthers
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Mendon Unity can now relate to. They lost 9-3 to the Camp Point Central Panthers on Wednesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-7 two weeks ago.
Mendon Unity saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Elijah Parsons, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double. Carter Rolando also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.
Mendon Unity's loss dropped their record down to 12-10. As for Camp Point Central, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-5 record this season.
