Football Recap: Shawnee Mission West Falls to Olathe South in First Game of Season + How To Watch

Shawnee Mission West kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They were outmatched by the Olathe South Falcons and fell 63-7. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it eight in a row.

Jordan Mack threw for 31 yards. Vincent Allen was his top target, picking up 43 receiving yards. On the ground, Brandon Nash rushed for 69 yards.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Shawnee Mission West will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Lawrence Free State on the 19th. As for Olathe South, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Great Bend on Friday.
