Westminster hadn't done well against Brighton recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Wolves came out on top against the Bulldogs by a score of 6-3. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 7-3 on September 2nd.

Elizabeth Flores spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on eight hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Jaleesa Talmich Martinez, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one double. Vanessa Castillo Vargas was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

The victory made it two in a row for Westminster and bumps their season record up to 8-8. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.5 runs over those games. As for Brighton, the loss snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 9-6 record.

Westminster wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 14-2 defeat against Forge Christian on the 22nd. As for Brighton, they will head out on the road to challenge Rangeview at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
