Softball Recap: Sterling Has No Trouble Against Burlington

It was a proper cat-fight when Sterling challenged Burlington on Thursday. The Tigers blew past the Cougars 17-2. The Tigers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven contests by ten runs or more this season.

The win made it two in a row for Sterling and bumps their season record up to 8-9. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 7 runs in those games. As for Burlington, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-9.

Sterling didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 20-12 win against Valley on the 27th. As for Burlington, they will head out on the road to challenge Southeast Colorado at 11:00 a.m. on October 4.
