Football Game Preview: Quince Orchard Cougars vs. Sherwood Warriors + How To Watch

The Quince Orchard Cougars will square off against the Sherwood Warriors at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Quince Orchard is headed into the matchup after thoroughly thrashing Churchill: they outscored them in every quarter. The Cougars were the clear victors by a 34-13 margin over the Bulldogs on Friday. The victory continues a trend for the Cougars in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won seven in a row.

Josiah Teasley was nothing short of spectacular: he threw for 122 yards and three TDs, and also rushed for 83 yards and one score on only 11 carries.

Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Quince Orchard proved: they limited Churchill to a paltry 0.3 yards per carry. The Cougars didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 7.3.

Meanwhile, Sherwood never let their opponents score on Friday. They blew past Clarksburg, posting a 41-0 win. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Warriors' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Maryland football rankings (they are ranked 24th, while the Coyotes are ranked 119th).

Sherwood's victory bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Quince Orchard, their win bumped their record up to an identical 5-0.

Quince Orchard took their victory against Sherwood in their previous meeting back in November of 2024 by a conclusive 47-22 score. Do the Cougars have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Warriors turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
