Baseball Game Preview: Loganville Christian Academy Lions vs. George Walton Academy Bulldogs

For the second straight game, Loganville Christian Academy will face off against George Walton Academy. The Lions will be playing in front of their home fans against the Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Loganville Christian Academy has now lost nine straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since March 28.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Loganville Christian Academy's offense. They lost 10-0 to George Walton Academy on Tuesday. The shutout was out of character for the Lions seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in March.

For George Walton Academy's part, Will Harkins and Mason Thomason did most of the damage at the plate: Harkins went a perfect 4-for-4 with one run and one RBI, while Thomason went 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Those four hits gave Harkins a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Baylor Lowe, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two RBI and one double.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: George Walton Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

George Walton Academy's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-18. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Loganville Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 5-18.
