Baseball Recap: Marian Central Catholic Takes a Loss

Marian Central Catholic came into their game on Saturday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 8-0 to the Fenton Bison. The shutout was out of character for the Hurricanes seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in April.

Marian Central Catholic saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was TJ Cutrona, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases.

Marian Central Catholic has also been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That lines up perfectly with their 4-20 record this season. As for Fenton, they pushed their record up to 9-19 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Marian Central Catholic will welcome Wheaton Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Hurricanes' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Warriors have averaged an impressive 7.4 runs per game this season. As for Fenton, they will square off against Dundee-Crown at 4:45 p.m. on Monday.
