Eldorado had lost three games on the road, but after bumping their record up to 2-3 on Friday that streak is in the rearview. They came out on top against the Santa Fe Demons by a score of 53-42. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Golden Eagles considering their seven-point performance the matchup before.

As for Santa Fe, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-3. On the bright side, the 42- point performance marked their highest-scoring contest to date.

Several Demons players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jasper Nelson, who rushed for 175 yards and one touchdown. Another player making a difference was Jesus Navarette, who gained 104 total yards.

Coming up, Eldorado will face off against La Cueva at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Santa Fe, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Atrisco Heritage Academy at 11:00 a.m. on October 11.
