Alabama high school football rankings: Daphne jumps all the way to No. 6

Late flurry against Fairhope propels Trojans to big win, big jump in Top 25.

Of the top 10 teams in Alabama, the Daphne Trojans made the biggest move in Week 3 of the Alabama Top 25 high school football rankings, jumping 13 spots to No. 6 following an impressive 41-13 win over Fairhope on Friday night.

After a 7-7 tie and the end of the first quarter, Daphne scored five of the next six touchdowns to win going away.

Five news teams joined this rankings this wee: No. 23 Lee (Montgomery), No. 20 Park Crossing (Montgomery), No. 19 Saraland, No. 14 Austin (Decatur) and No. 13 Enterprise (13).

Conner Harrell, Thompson (Alabaster): Completed 18 of 23 passes for 296 yards and five touchdowns in a 49-7 win over Tuscaloosa County (Northport).

DJ Lee, Gaylesville: Rushed 19 times for 172 yards and six touchdowns, and added a sack and interception on defense in a 44-26 win over Appalachian (Oneonta).



Rashawn Miller, Slocomb: The sophomore running back rushed 17 times for 251 yards and three touchdowns in a 63-20 win over Northside Methodist Academy (Dothan), giving him 514 rushing yards and six TDs in two games.

Dalton Morris, North Jackson (Stevenson): Completed 18 of 32 passes for 362 yards and four touchdowns, and added 68 yards rushing in nine carries during a 62-37 win over Westminster Christian (Huntsville).

Karon White, Sparkman (Harvest): The 6-foot-2, 260-pound defensive lineman has 12 tackles and three sacks in a 45-21 win over Albertville.
