Baseball Game Preview: Farragut Admirals vs. Juarez Eagles

The Farragut Admirals will head out on the road to face off against the Juarez Eagles at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The last three games Farragut has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Farragut will bounce into Tuesday's matchup after beating Solorio, who they had gone 0-3 against in their three prior meetings. The Admirals came out on top in a nail-biter against the Sun Warriors on Monday, sneaking past 3-1.

Nico Roman was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. That home run was his first of the season.

Roman wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Yoel Guerra, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run. Guerra is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last nine games he's played.

Meanwhile, Juarez came up short against Chicago Washington on Friday, falling 16-1. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Farragut is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-12 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.7 runs over those games. As for Juarez, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-4-1.

Everything went Farragut's way against Juarez when the teams last played back in May of 2024, as Farragut made off with a 17-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Admirals since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
