Soccer Game Preview: Kirtland Central vs. Aztec

The Kirtland Central Broncos are taking a road trip to face off against the Aztec Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Kirtland Central has three straight wins, Aztec has nine straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the pitch.

Kirtland Central's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They blew past Miyamura 4-0. The result was nothing new for Kirtland Central, who have now won four matches by four goals or more so far this season.

Angel Acosta and Brandon Lacey scored all four of Kirtland Central's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 28 goals.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Aztec challenged Bloomfield on Thursday. The Tigers fell just short of the Bobcats by a score of 1-0. The matchup was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but Aztec couldn't quite close it out.

Kirtland Central's victory bumped their record up to 7-5-1. As for Aztec, their loss dropped their record down to 2-12.
