Pius X lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Ralston, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Saturday's matchup. The Thunderbolts never let the Rams get on the board and left with an 8-0 win on Saturday. The result was nothing new for the Thunderbolts, who have now won ten contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

Adee Duggan was a major factor no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over six innings pitched. Duggan was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kendal Heimes, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. That's the most hits she has posted over her last 11 games.

Pius X hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They are 5-1 when they post two or more strikeouts.

Pius X is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 15-17 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.8 runs on average over those games. As for Ralston, with the defeat, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 21-7.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Rams beat Pius X by a score of 6-4 later that day.
