Football Recap: Jal Panthers vs. Navajo Prep Eagles
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Jal can now relate to. They fell 22-13 to the Navajo Prep Eagles on Friday. The Panthers just can't catch a break and have now endured four defeats in a row.
Jal's loss came despite strong showings from Zadyn Lujan and Daniel Ornelas. Lujan gained 168 total yards, while Ornelas rushed for 90 yards and one score.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Navajo Prep to victory, but perhaps none more so than Aden Clah, who threw for 197 yards and three touchdowns on only 18 passes. That's the most passing touchdowns Clah has posted since back in September. Dallas Wilson handled things on the ground, rushing for 87 yards.
Jal's loss dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Navajo Prep, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-2.
