Football Recap: Caney Valley Piles Up the Points Against Fredonia/Elk Valley

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Caney Valley). They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Fredonia/Elk Valley 66-32. The Bullpups haven't had any issues with Fredonia/Elk Valley recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Several Fredonia/Elk Valley players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ethan Bryant, who picked up 151 receiving yards and two touchdowns. The team also got some help courtesy of Kayson Farr, who rushed for 89 yards and a pair of TDs.

Caney Valley's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Fredonia/Elk Valley, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 0-6.

Looking ahead, Caney Valley will welcome Galena on Friday. As for Fredonia/Elk Valley, they are taking a road trip to square off against Riverton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
