Baseball Recap: Rochester Takes a Loss

Rochester didn't have quite enough to beat Central on Saturday and fell 4-3.

Sam Ferris made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and fired off two home runs and three RBI while going 4-for-4.

Rochester has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 14-12 record this season. Even worse, they were so close so many times: the defeats came by an average of only one runs. As for Central, their record is now 13-17-2.

Coming up, Rochester is taking a road trip to face off against Coal City at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Coalers will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the Rockets surely won't give up without a fight. As for Central, they will host Jacobs at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
