Baseball Recap: MacArthur Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact MacArthur can now relate to. They took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Granite City Warriors on Monday. The Generals just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

Benny Medaris made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run. That home run was his first of the season.

MacArthur's defeat dropped their record down to 10-20. As for Granite City, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 15-15.

MacArthur does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Granite City, they will square off against Edwardsville at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The last three games the Tigers have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
