Baseball Game Preview: Washington Panthers vs. Morton Potters

For the second straight game, Washington will face off against Morton. The Panthers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Potters at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Washington 2.7, Morton 3) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Washington is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Morton just ended the team's five-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Potters.

For Morton's part, Collin Burns spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on four hits and racked up six Ks.

On the hitting side, Morton's victory was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Hudson Lovell, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI. That's the most hits Lovell has posted over his last 12 contests.

Morton's win bumped their record up to 20-12. As for Washington, their defeat dropped their record down to 22-10.
