Football Game Preview: Mercer Island Islanders vs. Inglemoor Vikings + How To Watch

The Mercer Island Islanders will face off against the Inglemoor Vikings at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.

Mercer Island is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. Everything went their way against Renton on Friday as they made off with a 51-25 victory. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Mercer Island to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kainoa Brown, who rushed for 92 yards and three touchdowns. That's the most rushing yards Brown has posted since back in November of 2024. Another passer making a difference was Andy Skimming, who threw for 181 yards and three TDs.

Mercer Island didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Renton to a completion percentage of just 41.7%. The Islanders hasn't an opponent to post a completion percentage of 0.46 or higher in three consecutive games.

Mercer Island didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Jonah Battema and Riley Anderson.

Meanwhile, Inglemoor had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 24.7 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They blew past the Knights 41-17. Considering the Vikings have won three contests by more than 20 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Mercer Island better keep an eye on Peyton Mrsny. He was instrumental in Inglemoor's win, rushing for 53 yards and a pair of scores.

The victory got Mercer Island back to even at 3-3. As for Inglemoor, their win bumped their record up to 5-1.

Everything came up roses for Mercer Island against Inglemoor when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 52-21 victory. Will the Islanders repeat their success, or do the Vikings have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
