Baseball Recap: West Chicago Takes a Loss

West Chicago lost to South Elgin back in May of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Wildcats came up short against the Storm, falling 8-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Wildcats have suffered since May 28, 2025.

West Chicago saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Liam Zbierski, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base.

West Chicago's defeat dropped their record down to 8-14-1. As for South Elgin, they are on a roll lately: they've won 15 of their last 17 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-6 record this season.

West Chicago didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 10-1 loss against Streamwood on the 9th. As for South Elgin, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 4-3 defeat against Stevenson on the 9th.
