Rancho Christian saw some tournament action on Saturday. They came out on top against Mater Academy East Las Vegas by a score of 87-77. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Eagles.

Rancho Christian's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Alyson Boyd, who dropped a double-double with 29 points and 13 rebounds, and Addison Archer, who dropped a double-double with 30 points and 11 boards. The matchup was Boyd's third in a row with at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Amya Guzman, who went 6-for-7 to rack up 13 points and six rebounds.

Rancho Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 22 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in 13 consecutive contests dating back to last season.

Meanwhile, Valley Vista gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener last Wednesday. They took their game with ease, bagging a 56-27 win over Dobson. The victory continues a trend for the Monsoon in their matchups with the Mustangs: they've now won nine in a row.
