Baseball Recap: Deerfield-Windsor Gets the Win

Deerfield-Windsor gave up the first runs on Friday, but they didn't let that get them down. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-2 victory over Frederica Academy. This was a revenge game for Deerfield-Windsor: when they faced off against Frederica Academy on Friday, they had to take a 5-4 defeat.

Collins Clark spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on six hits and racked up six Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in eight consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Lane Sceals was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three stolen bases and two runs. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2025.

Deerfield-Windsor's record now sits at 19-8. As for Frederica Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 22-9.

Deerfield-Windsor will have a chance to go back-to-back against Frederica Academy: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
