Julian Lewis leads No. 5 Carrollton to 30-17 win over No. 10 Buford in Georgia 6A semifinals.

No. 6 North Shore (Houston) advanced to its seventh consecutive 6A Division 1 semifinal appearance with a dominant 49-21 win over No. 20 Atascocita (Humble, Texas) on Saturday. Senior quarterback Kaleb Bailey threw for 192 yards and two touchdowns to go with 250 yards rushing and two more scores.

The Mustangs will face Westlake (Austin, Texas) next Saturday at Katy ISD Legacy Stadium with a spot in the 6A Division 1 state championship game on the line. The Chaparrals beat Lake Travis (Austin, Texas) 24-21 on Friday.

The other 6A Division 1 semifinal will feature No. 3 Duncanville (Texas) and No. 9 North Crowley (Fort Worth, Texas)

The Panthers improved to 13-0 with a 31-13 win over Bridgeland (Cypress, Texas). The Bears cut the lead to 17-13 in the third quarter but Duncanville took control after that scoring the final 14 points.

North Crowley handed Allen (Texas) its first loss of the season with a one-sided 35-7 win. The Eagles dominated from start to finish and improved to 14-0. Cornelius Warren III and Kiante Ingram combined for 301 yards rushing and three scores. They have gone 28-1 over the last two years with the only loss coming to Duncanville in last year's 6A Division 1 semifinal, 52-10.

The big question mark leading up to a huge showdown in Georgia's 6A semifinals between No. 5 Carrollton (Ga.) and No. 10 Buford (Ga.) was if Colorado-bound quarterback Julian Lewis was going to be able to play. He did, and led the Trojans to a 30-17 road victory to advance to the 6A state championship game.

The four-star quarterback completed 15 of 18 passes for 193 yards and two touchdowns. He left last week's game against Hillgrove (Powder Springs, Ga.) with an injury to his throwing hand early in the second quarter.

The Wolves had a 17-7 lead late in the second quarter but Lewis led the Trojans on a key drive capped off with a 22-yard touchdown pass to Peyton Zachary to make it 17-14 with 1:54 left before halftime. That led to 23 unanswered points for Carrollton to improve to 14-0 and snap Buford's 12-game win streak.

The Trojans will face Grayson (Loganville, Ga.) on Dec. 18 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. They Rams beat Douglas County (Douglasville, Ga.) 35-28 in the other semifinal.

No. 2 Milton (Ga.) won its 24th game in a row with a 56-28 win over No. 25 Lee County (Leesburg, Ga.) to advance to the 5A state championship game. They will face Langston Hughes (Fairburn, Ga.) on Dec. 17. The Panthers beat Coffee (Douglas, Ga.) in the other semifinal.

Miami-bound quarterback Luke Nickel accounted for six touchdowns with three going to Georgia-bound wideout C.J. Wiley. After the Trojans tied the game at 21 in the second quarter, the Eagles reeled off 35 unanswered points.

No. 12 Lakeland needed three overtimes to beat Niceville, 34-33. The Dreadnaughts tied the game at 20 with 1:35 left after Zephaniah Rogers blocked a punt that was scooped up by Kavon McKinney for a 14-yard touchdown.

Trenton Turner scored from four yards out to give Lakeland a 34-27 lead in the third overtime. Kane Lafortune connected with Tim Smith to make it 34-33. Niceville went for the win but the Dreadnaughts stuffed the Eagles two-point attempt. Lakeland will face St. Thomas Aquinas (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.) in the 5A state championship on Dec. 12 at Pitbull Stadium.

No. 14 Chaminade-Madonna (Hollywood) won its 16th consecutive playoff game with a 35-6 win over Trinity Christian Academy (Jacksonville) to advance to its ninth straight state championship. The Lions will face Clearwater Central Catholic (Clearwater, Fla.) in the 1A state title game on Dec. 11.

No. 19 Venice took down Columbus (Miami) 33-27 to advance to the 7A state championship game. They will square off against Noah Grubbs and  Lake Mary (Fla.) on Dec. 14.
