After each having a week off, the Mesquite Skeeters and the Cedar Hill Longhorns will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Mesquite has struggled recently with three defeats in a row, while Cedar Hill will arrive with three straight victories.

Mesquite is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Horn last Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Skeeters were dealt a 45-7 loss at the hands of the Jaguars. The last quarter was a mere formality, since the game's final score was reached by the end of the third quarter.

Meanwhile, Cedar Hill didn't have too much trouble with Lancaster last Friday as they won 26-10.

Cedar Hill's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Mesquite, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.
