Volleyball Recap: Tohatchi's Loss Ends Five-Game Winning Streak on the Road + How To Watch

If Tohatchi was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Crownpoint on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Cougars fell 3-1 to the Thoreau Hawks on Saturday. The Cougars were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Hawks earlier this season, when they won 3-1.

Thoreau found their leader in sophomore Jillianne Brondo, who had nine digs and one assist.

Tohatchi's defeat ended a five-match streak of away wins and brought them to 15-5. As for Thoreau, their record now sits at 8-12.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Tohatchi is set to take on their familiar foe Newcomb at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Thoreau will square off against rival Zuni at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
