Softball Recap: Alliance Has No Trouble Against Hershey

Alliance won the last time they faced Hershey and things went their way on Thursday too. The Bulldogs blew past the Panthers 13-5. Considering the Bulldogs have won four matches by more than six runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Regan Cornish, who went 3-for-4 with three runs and one double. That's the most hits she has posted since back in October of 2024. Amilya Lopez was another key player, going 1-for-3 with three stolen bases and two runs.

Alliance was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .387. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Hershey only posted a batting average of .231.

The victory made it two in a row for Alliance and bumps their season record up to 4-7. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 6 runs in those games. As for Hershey, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.

Alliance didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 5-4 victory against Ord on the 6th. As for Hershey, they will head out on the road to square off against Grand Island Central Catholic on Tuesday.
