Jal and Texico are an even 4-4 against one another since August of 2018, but not for long. The Panthers will host the Wolverines at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Jal has given up an average of 29.2 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Jal had taken Non Varsity Opponent down for two straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end two weeks ago. The Panthers took a 34-16 bruising from Non Varsity Opponent.

Jal's loss came about despite a quality game from Zadyn Lujan, who rushed for 105 yards on only 14 carries.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Texico). They walked away with a 34-21 win over West Las Vegas on Friday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Wolverines needed considering they were shut out in their previous game.

Jal better keep an eye on Cross Figg. He was instrumental in Texico's win, rushing for 224 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 7.5 yards per carry, and also throwing for 95 yards and a pair of TDs. Maverick Hawkins was Figg's top target, picking up 48 receiving yards and two scores.

Texico's victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Jal, they now also have a losing record of 2-3.
