After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Dickinson, Clear Falls was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 38-21 victory over the Clear Lake Falcons. Given the Knights' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 181st, while the Falcons are ranked 388th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Clear Falls to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jake Champagne, who threw for 221 yards and a touchdown while completing 73.9% of his passes, and also rushed for 46 yards and a touchdown. Cotton was no stranger to the big play, connecting on a big catch that went for 69 yards. A healthy portion of Robinson's aerial production (100 yards to be exact) also went to Luke Mazur.
Clear Falls' win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-4. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 41.8 points.
