Senior lefty has struck out 16 in two different games.

As of Monday, there was only one pitcher in Georgia to strike out at least 100 batters and he is Benjamin Stubbs.

The 5-foot-11, 160-pound senior left-hander from Tattnall Square Academy (Macon, Ga.) has struck out 109 in 59.1 innings to lead the Peach State. He's 9-1 with a 1.42 ERA.

Twice this season, the hard-throwing stand out has struck out 16 in a game, most recently in a 5-0 win over Strong Rock Christian. Stubbs allowed just three hits and didn't walk a batter.

Committed to Flagler College in Florida, Stubbs also struck out 16 in his second start of 2020, a 4-0 win over Trinity Christian. He walked just one in that game and allowed two hits. On the season, he's walked 30 and allowed 30 hits.

Luke Fernandez of West Forsyth (Cumming) is on the verge of 100 strikeouts with 99.
