Softball Recap: Jordan Red Jackets vs. Manchester Blue Devils
Jordan extended their losing streak to three on Tuesday, dropping them down to 4-15. They lost 18-9 to the Manchester Blue Devils. If the Red Jackets were looking for revenge after losing 10-9 to the Blue Devils when the teams met back in October of 2022, then they'll just have to keep looking.
As for Manchester, their victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-19. 18 seems to be a good number for them as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.
For Manchester's part, Ca'Monee Mitchell made a big impact no matter where she played. She struck out eight batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and eight unearned) runs off five hits. Those eight strikeouts gave Mitchell a new career-high. She was even better at the plate, going 3-for-4 with five stolen bases, four runs, and two doubles. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more stolen bases the last three times she's played.
