2025 Florida Preseason MaxPreps Top 25 high school football rankings

IMG Academy looks to bounce back in a big way after rare multi-loss season.

The high school football season in Florida kicks this month and we have your look at the state's top teams. Perennial national powerhouse IMG Academy (Bradenton) owns the No. 1 spot in the Preseason MaxPreps Top 25.

The Ascenders begin the season ranked No. 6 nationally as they look to continue their dominance in 2025 after tallying an 87-7 record over the past 10 seasons. 

Seniors Keenyi Pepe (6-7, 320, OL, Alabama commitment), Jake Kreul (6-3, 230, EDGE), Zech Fort (5-10, 190, S, Georgia) and Duyon Forkpa Jr. (6-2, 220, LB) lead the charge for IMG Academy.

Reigning state champions include Chaminade-Madonna (Hollywood) in 1A, Cocoa in 2A, Northwestern (Miami) in 3A, American Heritage (Plantation) in 4A, St. Thomas Aquinas (Fort Lauderdale) in 5A, West Boca Raton (Boca Raton) in 6A and Venice in 7A.
