Baseball Game Preview: North Mac Panthers vs. Pana Panthers

North Mac will challenge Pana at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (North Mac 3.9, Pana 3.7) so any runs scored will be well earned.

North Mac is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 12 runs on Wednesday, they were much more limited against Lincoln on Friday. They fell 5-1 to the Railsplitters.

Luke Alexander was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one run and one double.

Meanwhile, Pana had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Redskins as they made off with an 11-1 win. The Panthers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten games by six runs or more this season.

Jax Czaikowski and Madyx Angel did most of the damage at the plate: Czaikowski went 2-for-3 with two triples, two runs, and two RBI, while Angel went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double. That's the most runs Czaikowski has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Carder Burris, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Pana was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .538. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Pana's victory bumped their record up to 15-11. As for North Mac, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-8.
