Softball Recap: Bayard's Loss Ends Three-Game Winning Streak on the Road

Bayard dropped to 6-11 on Saturday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins on the road. They fell 10-6 to the Alliance Bulldogs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Tigers of the 11-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Bayard saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kaidence Lee, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. Lee has been hot for a while, having posted at least one stolen base the last 15 times she's played. Braylea Halverson was another, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI and one double.

As for Alliance, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-16. With that victory, they brought their scoring average up to 6.1 runs per game.

On Alliance's side, they got a big performance out of Alivia Osborn, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. That stolen base was Osborn's first of the season. Another player making a difference was Maci Cornish, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

Coincidentally, Bayard and Alliance will both be playing Lexington the next time they take the field. The Tigers will host the Minutemen at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the Bulldogs will play them later in the day, at 2:30 p.m.
