Texas high school football: Week 4 schedule, scores

This week's Texas high school football schedule is headlined by No. 20 Midland Legacy on the road at Steele (Cibolo) on Friday.

Midland Legacy (3-0) is coming off a 48-17 road win over Abilene last weekend while Steele (2-1) climbed one spot to No. 26 after outscoring Hutto 57-27.

Junior Chad Warner has thrown for 674 yards and seven touchdowns so far this season for Steele while Midland Legacy's Marcos Davila has been credited with 622 passing yards and four scores in his last two outings.

Other action this weekend includes Lufkin (3-0) taking to the road to face longtime rival No. 22 Longview (2-1), which has won the last six meetings between the two teams and owns a 44-37-4 series lead. Lufkin won the first meeting 34-0 way back in 1932.

In addition, No. 7 Denton Guyer (Denton) travels to Prosper while Parish Episcopal (Dallas) battles No. 11 South Oak Cliff (Dallas) on the road.
