Softball Recap: Hydro-Eakly Find Success

Hydro-Eakly took an eight-run loss the last time they faced off against Leedey, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Bobcats sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over the Bison on Thursday. For the Bobcats, this counts as revenge for the 8-0 victory the Bison walked away with the last time they faced one another back in August of 2024.

The win made it two in a row for Hydro-Eakly and bumps their season record up to 8-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 2 run in those games. As for Leedey, the defeat snapped their winning streak at six games and leaves them with a 10-3 record.

Coincidentally, Hydro-Eakly and Leedey will both be playing Waukomis the next time they take the field. The Bobcats will head out to face the Chiefs at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday, while the Bison will host them at 11:45 a.m. on Friday.
