Football Recap: Smithsburg Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Smithsburg lost against Fort Hill back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Leopards were dealt a 56-6 loss at the hands of the Sentinels. The matchup marked the Leopards' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Carson Bender went supernova For Fort Hill., rushing for 88 yards and two TDs on only nine carries. Those 88 rushing yards gave Bender a new career-high.

Smithsburg's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Fort Hill, they pushed their record up to 5-3 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Smithsburg will challenge Boonsboro at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Fort Hill, they will square off against Allegany at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday.
