Softball Recap: Trinity Christian Lions vs. Fayette County Tigers
Trinity Christian had lost four games on the road, but after bumping their record up to 9-10 on Thursday that streak is in the rearview. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 13-11 victory over the Fayette County Tigers. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 12-3 back in September.
Mary Ruth Adkins spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and seven unearned) runs on 14 hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.
