Softball Recap: Hawkinsville Comes Up Short

Hawkinsville fell victim to Bleckley County and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They lost 8-0 to the Royals. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, the Red Devils' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Hawkinsville's defeat was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Bleckley County, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hawkinsville will take on Montgomery County at 4:30 p.m. on September 4. As for Bleckley County, they will face off against Northeast at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
