Baseball Game Preview: Brimfield Indians vs. Rockridge Rockets

The Brimfield Indians will head out to face off against the Rockridge Rockets at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Rockridge will be up against a hot Brimfield team: the squad just extended their winning streak to 15. The Indians put the hurt on Roanoke-Benson/Lowpoint-Washburn with a sharp 13-6 victory on Tuesday.

Noah Malone was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Malone was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-5 with three runs and one double. Those three hits gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kaeden Schatsiek, who fired off two home runs, three runs, and three RBI while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Brody Kenney, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one double.

Brimfield kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least ten hits in five consecutive contests.

Rockridge came out on top against Quincy on Saturday thanks in part to the team's impressive eight-run fourth inning. The Rockets blew past the Blue Devils 13-1.

Brimfield's record now sits at 27-3. As for Rockridge, their record is now 24-7.
