Baseball Recap: St. Bede Takes a Loss

If St. Bede was riding high fresh off their 15-5 takedown of Midland on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bruins fell just short of the Putnam County Panthers by a score of 4-2 on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Bruins have suffered against the Panthers since April 23, 2022.

St. Bede's loss dropped their record down to 19-10. As for Putnam County, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-11 record this season.

St. Bede wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 4-2 win against Hall on the 15th. As for Putnam County, they will head out to challenge Princeville at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
