As if that's not impressive enough, the pitching appearance was her ninth in a row with two or fewer walks. This year, she has been strong no matter where she plays. On the mound, she has an ERA of 3.56 over 57 innings pitched. Meanwhile, at bat she has slashed 0.429/0.508/0.679 with 17 runs, plus 10 stolen bases.

Looking ahead, Portis and Incarnate Word Academy will take on Westminster Christian at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. Sadly, Portis' big day wasn't enough to stop the loss, which snapped the Red Knights' five-game streak of wins on the road.
