If Lorena wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played China Spring, they should've done a better job of containing CHRISHON GREGORY. It took a bit of extra time, but the Cougars secured a 49-47 win against the Leopards in overtime on Friday thanks in part to GREGORY: he rushed for 321 yards and a pair of touchdowns while picking up 11.9 yards per carry. GREGORY has become a key player for China Spring: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least 80 rushing yards, but 1-5 otherwise.

Lorena's loss came despite strong showings from Jaxon Blancett and Carson Miller. Blancett rushed for 43 yards and one TD, while Miller picked up 96 receiving yards and a pair of scores. Miller showed off some serious burst, lighting up the secondary with a catch for 60 yards.

China Spring's record now sits at 3-6. As for Lorena, they dropped their record down to 3-6 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.

That game will pit two of the most dominant backs against one another: GREGORY and Evan Moreno. Meanwhile, Lorena will challenge rival La Vega at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
