Baseball Recap: Moline Extends Winning Streak to Three

While Moline's victory against LaSalle-Peru wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Maroons had just enough and edged out the Cavaliers 3-2. Three seems to be a good number for the Maroons as the team scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.

The victory (which was Moline's third in a row) raised their record to 21-13. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 1.33 runs across that stretch. As for LaSalle-Peru, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 12 of their last 14 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-22 record this season.

Moline didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 6-5 loss against Benet Academy on the 23rd. As for LaSalle-Peru, they will take on Ottawa at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
