Football Recap: Park Rapids Takes a Loss

Park Rapids and Minnewaska Area squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Park Rapids had to settle for second. They were beaten by the Lakers 49-6. The Panthers just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Carter Hirt threw for 95 yards and one TD. Kaden Gartner was his top target, picking up 69 receiving yards and one score. On the ground, Parker Hunter rushed for 48 yards.

Park Rapids' loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Minnewaska Area, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-3.

Park Rapids does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Minnewaska Area, they will face off against Thief River Falls at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
