Having just played yesterday, the Cape Fear Christian Academy Eagles will jump right back in to play the Riverside Christian Academy Royals at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Cape Fear Christian Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 60.6 points per game this season.

On Friday, everything came up roses for Cape Fear Christian Academy against Wake County Academy HomeSchool as the team secured a 60-18 victory. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three games by 36 points or more this season.

Cape Fear Christian Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Justin Chestnutt led the charge by dropping a double-double with 12 points and 19 boards. Those 19 rebounds gave Chestnutt a new career-high. Cade Godwin was another key player, shooting 54% from the field en route to 17 points.

Cape Fear Christian Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in seven consecutive matchups.

Meanwhile, Riverside Christian Academy suffered their closest loss since November 8th on Friday. They fell just short of Northwood Temple Academy by a score of 53-50. The Royals have struggled against the Eagles recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Cape Fear Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Riverside Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-5.

Cape Fear Christian Academy beat Riverside Christian Academy 58-45 when the teams last played back in November of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
