Softball Recap: Mogollon Takes a Loss

Mogollon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Joseph City Wildcats, falling 12-2. If the Mustangs were looking for revenge after losing 16-0 to the Wildcats when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Autumn Jones made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-2. Kaddie Porter was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Mogollon's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Joseph City, they pushed their record up to 14-1 with the win, which was their 22nd straight at home dating back to last season.

Mogollon didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 12-5 loss against Bagdad on the 28th. As for Joseph City, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 13-5 victory against Round Valley on the 27th.
