Softball Recap: Pleasant Hill Has No Trouble Against Odessa

Pleasant Hill lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Odessa, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Thursday's contest. The Roosters/Chicks blew past the Bulldogs 8-1 on Thursday. Considering the Roosters/Chicks have won four matchups by more than six runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

The win made it two in a row for Pleasant Hill and bumps their season record up to 7-5. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.5 runs over those games. As for Odessa, their loss dropped their record down to 6-8.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Pleasant Hill is set to square off against their familiar foe Warrensburg at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Odessa will face off against rival Harrisonville at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
