Trojans have won 13 consecutive sectional titles and three state championships in past four seasons.

The high school football season in Indiana kicks off this week and MaxPreps has your look at the state's top teams. Coming off a semifinal appearance in 2023, Center Grove (Greenwood) owns the No. 1 spot in the Preseason MaxPreps Top 25.

The Trojans are aiming to capture their fourth state championship in the past five seasons and 14th consecutive sectional title.

Seniors Luke Barrett (5-11, 175, S), Tristan Baxter (5-11, 150, WR), Austin Hennessy (6-2, 195, RB), Brevin Holubar (6-2, 170, WR), Gabe McWilliams (6-6, 215, QB) and Ryder Woolwine (6-3, 220, DE) along with three-star junior Dominick Barry (6-4, 225, TE) lead the charge for Center Grove.

The best player in the state, however, may be two-way Ben Davis (Indianapolis) standout Mark Zackery. Committed to Notre Dame, the senior defensive back and wide receiver tallied 53 receptions for 823 yards and eight touchdowns on offense and snagged four interceptions defensively.

Defending state champions include Ben Davis in Class 6A, Snider (Fort Wayne) in Class 5A, East Central (St. Leon) in Class 4A, Indianapolis Bishop Chatard (Indianapolis) in Class 3A, Bishop Luers (Fort Wayne) in Class 2A and Indianapolis Lutheran (Indianapolis) in Class 1A.
